Abbreviations
WS. Wrong Side
RS. Right Side
dc. Double Crochet
tr. Treble Crochet
rpt. Repeat
ss. Slip Stitch
Group. (2dc, 2ch, 2dc) into same stitch
Base of ch. Work into first stitch
3ch counts as first tr
Approx size to fit: 0-3 month baby
Materials
15 grams of King Cole big value baby DK in any colour (your choice)
6.50mm & 4.00mm crochet hooks
Approx 50cm of 6mm wide ribbon
Rosebud to decorate.
TENSION - 4tr's measures approx 1 Inch wide

Headband - With 6.50mm hook and main colour make 58ch, ss to first ch to make
a ring, change to 4.00mm hook, work 3ch, 1tr into each ch to end, ss to top of 3ch
on beginning of row. Turn. (57tr + 3ch).
Edging
Row 1 - 1ch, 1dc into base of 1ch, 1dc into each tr to end, ss to first dc on beginning
of row. Turn. (58dc)
Row 2 - 1ch, * (2dc, 2ch, 2dc) into base of 1ch, * miss 1dc, (2dc, 2ch, 2dc) into
next dc,
* rpt from * to * last dc, miss last dc, ss to first dc on beginning of row. Fasten
off.
(29 Groups)
Starting with WS facing, rpt Edging rows 1 & 2 along cast on edge. Fasten off.
Finishing - Sew in and tie off any loose ends of yarn, thread colour ribbon through
alternate tr's and tie with a bow, decorate with a rosebud.
