tr3tog. Leaving last loop of each tr on hook,

work 3tr into next 2ch space, yrh pull through 4 loops.

Base of ch. Work into first stitch

3ch counts as first tr

Finished size approx: 5.5 x 5.5 inches

Materials

I have used small amounts of Stylecraft Special DK in 2 Colours for each square

4.00mm crochet hook

TENSION - 1 pattern repeat and 2 rows measures approx 1 Inch

With colour 1 make 25ch, (WS) 1tr into 4th ch from hook, * miss 2ch, vst (see abbrev) into next ch, miss 2ch, 1tr into each of next 2ch, * rpt from * to * to end. Turn.

Next Row - 3ch, 1tr into next tr, * make 2ch, tr3tog (see abbrev) into next 2ch space, 2ch, 1tr into each of next 2tr, * rpt from * to * to last tr and 3ch, 1tr into tr, 1tr into top of 3ch. Turn.

Pattern Row 1 - 3ch, 1tr into next tr, * miss 2ch space, vst into tr3tog, miss 2ch, 1tr into each of next 2tr, * rpt from * to * to last tr and 3ch, 1tr into tr, 1tr into top of 3ch. Turn.

Pattern Row 2 - 3ch, 1tr into next tr, * make 2ch, tr3tog into next 2ch space, 2ch, 1tr into each of next 2tr, * rpt from * to * to last tr and 3ch, 1tr into tr, 1tr into top of 3ch. Turn.

Rpt Pattern Rows 1 & 2 until 10 rows have been worked from beginning. Turn.

Border - 1ch, 1dc into base of 1ch, 1dc into next tr, * 2dc into 2ch space, miss tr3tog, 2dc into next 2ch space, 1dc into each of next 2tr, * rpt from * to * once, 2dc into 2ch space, miss tr3tog, 2dc into next 2ch space, 1dc into next tr, 3dc into top of 3ch, work 18dc evenly into row ends down first side of square, 3dc into corner, 1dc into next tr, rpt from * to * twice, missing vst (not tr3tog) along cast on edge, 2dc into next 2ch space, miss vst, 2dc into next 2ch space, 1dc into next tr, 3dc into top of 3ch, work 18dc evely into row ends up second side of square, 1dc into corner, ss to first dc. Fasten off. Turn.

Join in colour 2, work 2 rows of dc, working 3dc into corners and slip stitching to first dc on beginning of each row. Fasten off.

Finishing - Weave in all loose ends of yarn and trim.

Make as many squares as you need for the size blanket you want and ss them together.
