Dec.  Leaving the last loop of each stitch on hook,

          yrh and draw through all loops.

100 grams of King Cole big value baby DK in Main Colour

Oddment of King Cole big value baby DK in contrast

4.00mm & 5.00mm crochet hooks


TENSION - 10tr and 7rows measures approx 2” x 2” (5cm x 5cm)

BIB - (RS) Using 5.00mm hook and main colour, make 36ch, change to 4.00mm hook,

1dc into 2nd ch from hook, 1dc into each ch to end. Turn. (35dc)


Next row - Working into back loop of stitch only make 3ch, 1tr into each dc to end. Turn. (34tr + 3ch)


First Row - 1ch, 1dc into base of 1ch, 1dc into each tr to end, 1dc into top of 3ch. Turn. (35dc)


Second Row - Working into back loop of stitch only make 3ch, 1tr into each dc to end.

Turn. (34tr + 3ch) Rpt last two rows 8 more times each making 10 times each in all or until work measures approximately 6” from beginning. Turn. Work First Row once. Turn.


Shape Neck - (First Side) Working into back of stitch work 3ch, 1tr into each of next 9dc. Turn leaving 25dc un-worked.


Next row - 1ch, Dec 1dc over next 2tr, (see abbrev above) 1dc into each tr to end, 1dc

into top of 3ch. Turn. (9dc)


Next row - Working into back of stitch work 3ch, 1tr into each of next 6dc, dec 1tr over

next 2dc. Turn.


Next row - 1ch, 1dc into base of 1ch, 1dc into each tr to end. (8dc)


Next Row - Working into back of stitch, work 3ch, 1tr into each dc to end. Fasten off.

(7tr + 3ch)


Second side of neck - Return to un-worked stitches on neck edge, with RS of work

facing, miss next 15dc, with 4.00mm hook, join main colour yarn into back loop of next dc, Work second side of neck same as first side reversing all shaping. Fasten off.


Edging - Using 4.00mm hook and WS facing, join main colour yarn with a ss to top left corner of shoulder edge, 1ch, 1dc into base of 1ch, work 37dc evenly down side edge

of bib, 3dc into corner, 1dc into each dc along bottom of bib, 3dc into corner, work 38dc evenly along second side edge, 3dc into corner, 1dc into each of next 6dc on shoulder,

3dc into corner, 7dc evenly along neck edge, 1dc into each of next 15dc, 7dc evenly

along second side of neck edge, 3dc into corner, 1dc into each of next 6dc along

shoulder, 1dc into top of 3ch, ss to first dc. Turn. Fasten off.


Next Row - Change to contrast colour yarn, work 1ch, 1dc into base of 1ch, 1dc into

each dc all around bib to end, working 3dc into all corners. Turn. Fasten off.


Next Row - Re-join main colour yarn, work 1ch, 1dc into base of 1ch, 1dc into each dc all around bib to end, working 3dc into all corners. Turn. Fasten off.


Chain Ties x 2 - With RS facing , using 4.00mm hook and both colour yarns together,

ss to a dc on shoulder close to neck corner, make 60ch. Fasten off. Rpt same on second side.


Tie ends x 2 - With main colour yarn and 4.00mm hook make 6ch, ss to first ch to make a ring, 1ch, work 8dc into ring, ss to first dc. Fasten off.


Flower Motif  - With 4.00mm hook and contrast colour yarn make 8ch, ss to first ch to

make a ring, 1ch, work 8dc into ring, ss to first dc. DNT.


Next Row - * 5ch, ss into next dc, * rpt from * to * to end. (8, 5ch loops) DNT.


Next Row - Work 5dc into each 5ch loop to end, ss to base of first 5ch loop. Fasten off.


Finishing - Sew in and tie off all loose threads of yarn, attach tie ends to ends of ties, sew flower motif to corner on bib.
