TENSION - 5tr and 2 rows measures approx 1 Inch

Boot Topper x 2 - With 4.00mm make 25ch loosely, (RS) 1tr into 4th ch from hook, 1tr into each ch to end. Turn. (22tr + 3ch)

Next Row - 3ch, miss 1tr, 1vst (see abbrev) into next tr, * miss 2tr, 1vst into next tr, * rpt from * to * to last tr and 3ch to turn with, miss tr, work 1tr into top of 3ch. Turn. (7, vst)

Pattern Row 1 - 3ch, 1tr into each tr and 1ch space to end, 1tr into top of 3ch. Turn. (22tr + 3ch)

Pattern Row 2 - 3ch, miss 1tr, 1vst (see abbrev) into next tr, * miss 2tr, 1vst into next tr, * rpt from * to * to last tr and 3ch to turn with, miss tr, work 1tr into top of 3ch. Turn.

Rpt Pattern Rows 1 & 2 fifteen more times, with WS facing fold boot topper in half (top to bottom) ss loosely both last row and starting chain row together to make a round. Do not fasten off.

Decorative Edge - Turn your work so you are working on the RS and along the side of boot topper.

Make 3ch, work 70tr evenly into row ends to end, ss top top of 3ch on beginning or row. DNT. (70tr + 3ch)

Next Row - Make 1ch, 1dc into base of 1ch, miss 1tr, * 5tr into next tr, miss 2tr, 1dc into next tr, miss 2tr, * rpt from * to * to end, ss to first dc on beginning of row. Fasten off. (12, 5tr groups)

Working into row ends on the opposite side of boot topper, make 1ch, work 2dc into each

row end to end, ss to first dc on beginning of row. Turn. (68dc)

Starting with 1ch, 1dc into base of 1ch, work 1dc into each dc to end, ss to first dc on beginning of row. Fasten off.

Finishing - Weave in and trim off any loose ends of yarn.
