Materials

25 grams of King Cole big value baby DK in white (001) colour 1

25 grams of King Cole big value baby DK in colour 2

3.50mm, 4.00mm & 4.50mm crochet hooks

2 small buttons

TENSION - 6htr and 3 rows of htr's measures approx 1 Inch Square

Commence with Sole - With 4.00mm hook and colour 1, make 12ch, (RS) 3htr into 4th

ch from hook, 1htr into each of next 7ch, 8htr into last ch, working on opposite side of cast

on ch, work 1htr into each of next 7ch, 4htr into last ch, ss to top of the 3ch on beginning of row. DNT. (29htr + 2ch)

Next Round - 2ch, work 2htr into each of next 3htr, 1htr into each of next 9htr, 2htr into each of next 6htr, 1htr into each of next 9htr, 2htr into each of last 2htr, 1htr into base of 2ch, ss to top of 2ch. DNT. (41htr + 2ch)

Next Round - 2ch, 1htr into each htr to end, ss to top of 2ch. DNT. (41htr + 2ch). Fasten off.

Next Round - Using colour 2 and working into back loop of stitch make 1ch, 1dc into base

of 1ch, 1dc into each htr to end, ss to first dc. Turn (42dc)

Next Round - Working through both loops make 1ch, 1dc into base of 1ch, 1dc into each

dc to end, ss to first dc. Turn (42dc). Rpt last row once. Fasten off.

Instep - With WS facing and counting from where you fastened off, miss 10dc, rejoin yarn with a ss to next dc, 1ch, 1dc into base of 1ch, 1dc into next 21dc. Turn leaving 10dc

un-worked. (22dc)

Next Row - (Dec) 1ch, 1dc into base of 1ch, dec 1dc over next 2dc, (see abbrev above)

10 times, 1dc into last dc. Turn. (12dc)

Next Row - (Dec) 1ch, 1dc in base of 1ch, dec 1dc over next 2dc, 5 times, 1dc into last dc. Turn. (7dc)

Next Row - Make 1ch, insert hook and pull up loop loosely in each dc, yrh and pull through all

8 loops on hook to close, work 1ch. Turn. Fasten off.

Top - Re-join yarn to back seam, working on WS make 1ch, 1dc into base of 1ch, 1dc into each of next 9dc, work 8dc evenly into row ends across top of instep, 1dc into each of the next 10dc. Turn. (28dc)

Next Row - 1ch, 1dc into base of 1ch, 1dc into each dc to end. Turn. Rpt last row 9 more times. Fasten off.

Cuff - Join in colour 2, make 1ch, 1dc into base of 1ch, 1dc into each dc to end, ss to first dc. Turn.

Next Row - Working in back loop of stitch, make 1ch, 1dc into base of 1ch, 1dc into each

dc to end, ss to first dc. Working through both loops from now on rpt last row 4 more times. Fasten off. fold over on to RS.

With 4.50mm hook and top of boot towards you, rejoin yarn to back seam, work ss into each loose loop on sole of boot to end, ss to first ss on beginning of row. Fasten off.

Flower Motif x 2 - With colour 2 make magic circle, using 3.50mm hook make 1ch, work 12dc into circle, close circle with loose thread of yarn, ss to first dc. DNT.

Next Row - 1ch, (ss, 3ch, ss) into base of 1ch, * miss 1dc, (ss, 3ch, ss) into next dc, * rpt from * to * to last dc, miss last dc, ss to first dc on beginning of row. Fasten off. (6 Petals)

Finishing - Sew in and tie off any loose ends of yarn, using loose strands of yarn, attach

one flower motif to side of each boot, sew decorative button to centre of flower.
