Materials
30 grams of Stylecraft Special DK in Shrimp
6.00mm, 5.00mm & 4.00mm crochet hooks
TENSION - 5dc and 5 rows of dc measures approx 1 Inch using 5.00mm hook

Bow Headband - With 6.00mm hook make 15ch, change to 5.00mm hook, (RS) work
1dc into 2nd ch from hook, 1dc into each ch to end. Turn. (14dc)
Next Row - Working into back loop only make 1ch, 1dc into base of 1ch, 1dc into each
dc
to end. Turn.
Rpt last row 80 more times or until work measures approx 19.5 Inches from beginning,
making 82 rows worked in all. Turn.
Fold headband in half and with WS facing ss cast on edge and last row of dc together
to make a round.
Outside Edge x 2 - With RS facing change to 4.00mm hook, working into row ends and
starting with 1ch, work 1dc into each row end to end, ss to first dc. Turn. (82dc)
Starting with 1ch, 1dc into base of 1ch, work 1dc into each dc to end, ss to first
dc.
Fasten off.
With RS facing re-join yarn to first stitch after seam on second side of headband
and rpt
last 2 rows. Fasten off.
Bow - With 6.00mm hook make 6ch, change to 5.00mm hook, (RS) work 1dc into 2nd ch
from hook, 1dc into each ch to end. Turn. (5dc)
Next Row - Working into back loop only make 1ch, 1dc into base of 1ch, 1dc into each
dc
to end. Turn.
Rpt last row 10 more times, making 12 rows worked in all.
Attach bow around Headband seam and ss cast on edge and last row together to make
a round. Fasten off.
Turn bow strip so that ss seam is on the inside, push seam around on to the inside
of the headband.
Finishing - Weave in ends of yarn and trim, attach decorative button to centre of
bow. (Button is optional)
