50 grams of Random Double Knitting Yarn
1 Medium Button
4.00mm crochet hook

TENSION - 5 htr and 3 rows of htr’s measures approx 1 inch square

Coaster Mug Cosy - With 4.00mm hook and main colour yarn, make 5ch, ss to first
ch to form a ring, work 2ch, 10htr into ring, ss to top of 2ch on beginning of row. Turn.
(10htr + 2ch)

2nd Row - 2ch, 1htr into base of 2ch, 2htr into each htr to end, ss to top of 2ch on
beginning of row. Turn. (21htr + 2ch)

3rd Row - 2ch, 1htr into base of 2ch, * 1htr into next htr, 2htr into next htr, * rpt from
* to * to last htr, 1htr into last htr, ss to top of 2ch on beginning of row. Turn. (32htr + 2ch)

4th Row - 2ch, 1htr into base of 2ch, * 1htr into each of next 2htr, 2htr into next htr,
* rpt from * to * to last 2htr, 1htr into each of last 2htr, ss to top of 2ch on beginning of row. Turn. (43htr + 2ch)

5th Row - 2ch, 1htr into each htr to end, ss to top of 2ch on beginning of row. Turn.

6th Row - 1ch, 1dc into base of 1ch, 1dc into each htr to end, ss to first dc on beginning
of row. Turn. (44dc)

7th Row - Working into back loop of stitch only work 1ch, 1dc into each dc to end, ss to
first dc on beginning of row. Turn.

8th Row – (Split) Working through both loops of stitch from now on, work 2ch, 1htr into
each htr to end. Do Not ss - Turn. (43htr + 2ch)

9th Row - 2ch, 1htr into each htr to end, 1htr into top of 2ch. Turn.

10th Row - (Strap) 2ch, 1htr into each htr to end, 1htr into top of 2ch, make 8ch, turn.

11th Row - 1htr into 3rd from ch from hook, 1htr into each of next 5ch, 1htr into each htr
to end, 1htr into top of 2ch. Turn. (50htr + 2ch

12th Row - 2ch, 1htr into each htr to end, 1htr into top of 2ch. Turn.

13th Row - (Buttonhole) 2ch, 1htr into next htr, 1ch, miss 1htr, 1htr into each htr to end,
1htr into top of 2ch. Turn.

14th Row - 2ch, 1htr into each htr and 1ch space to end, 1htr into top of 2ch. Turn.
Starting with 2ch work one more row in htr. Turn.

16th Row - 2ch, 1htr into each of next 43htr, turn leaving remaining 6htr and 2ch un-worked. Starting with 2ch work 1htr into each of next 43htr, 1htr into top of 2ch. Turn.

Edging - 1ch, 2dc into base of 1ch, 1dc into each htr to 2ch to turn, 3dc into top of 2ch,
work dc's evenly into row ends down to top of strap, 1dc into each of next 6htr along top
of strap, 1dc into top of 2ch, work dc’s evenly into row ends along side of buttonhole, 1dc into corner, 1htr into each of 6ch along bottom of strap, dc evenly in row ends down cosy
to base of split, ss into base of split, dc evenly into row ends up to corner, 1dc into base
of 1ch, ss to first dc. Fasten off.

Coaster - Return to loose loops on base of cosy, with bottom facing you, rejoin yarn to
first loose loop, make 2ch, 1htr into base of 2ch, * 1htr into each of next 10dc, 2htr into
next dc, * rpt from * to * to last 10dc, 1htr into each of last 10dc, ss to top of 2ch on beginning of row. Turn. (47htr + 2ch)

Next Row - 3ch, 3tr into base of 3ch, * miss 2tr, (ss into next tr, 3ch, 3tr into base of 3ch)
* rpt from * to * to end. Fasten off. (16 groups)

Finishing - Sew in and tie off all loose ends of yarn, attach button to correspond with buttonhole.
