Oddments of Patons 100% Cotton DK

I used red 2115, white 2691 and raffia 2714

4.00mm & 4.50mm crochet hooks

TENSION - 9tr and 4 rows of tr’s measures approx 2” x 2”

Pot Holder - (Made in rounds without turning) With 4.00mm hook and red colour yarn

make 6ch, join with a ss to first ch to form a ring, work 1ch, * 1dc, 3ch into ring * rpt from

* to * 7 more times, ss to first dc on beginning of round.

Round 2 - ss into first 3ch space, work 3ch, 1tr, 2ch 2tr into same 3ch space, * 2tr into

next 3ch space, 2tr, 2ch, 2tr into next 3ch space, * rpt from * to * twice more, 2tr into next 3ch space, ss to top of 3ch on beginning of round. Fasten off.

Round 3 - Join in white colour yarn to any corner, work 3ch, 2tr, 3ch, 3tr into same space

on corner, * (2tr into space between next two 2tr groups), twice, 3tr, 3ch, 3tr into 2ch

space on corner, * rpt from * to * twice, (2tr into space between next two 2tr groups), twice, ss to top of 3ch on beginning of round.

Round 4 - ss across first 2tr and into the 3ch space on corner, work 3ch, 2tr, 3ch, 3tr into same space on corner, * 2tr into next space between 3tr and 2tr groups, 2tr into space between next two 2tr groups, 2tr into next space between 2tr and 3tr groups, 3tr, 3ch,

3tr into 3ch space on corner, * rpt from * to * twice, 2tr into next space between 3tr and 2tr groups, 2tr into space between next two 2tr groups, 2tr into next space between 2tr and 3tr groups, ss to top of 3ch on beginning of round. Fasten off.

Round 5 - Join in raffia colour yarn to any corner, work 3ch, 2tr, 3ch, 3tr into same space

on corner, * 2tr into next space between 3tr and 2tr groups, (2tr into space between next

two 2tr groups) twice, 2tr into next space between 2tr and 3tr groups, 3tr, 3ch, 3tr into 3ch space on corner, * rpt from * to * twice, 2tr into next space between 3tr and 2tr groups, (2tr into space between next two 2tr groups), twice, 2tr into next space between 2tr and 3tr groups, ss to top of 3ch on beginning of round.

Round 6 - Change to 4.50mm hook, work 1ch, 1dc into base of 1ch, 1dc into each tr, working 3dc into each 3ch space on corners, ss to first dc on beginning of round. Fasten off.

Round 7 - Join in white colour yarn to first dc, 3ch, 1tr into each dc to end, working 2tr,

2ch, 2tr into centre dc on each corner, ss to top of 3ch on beginning of round. Fasten off.

Round 8 - Join in Red colour yarn to first tr, 3ch, 1tr into each tr to end, working 5tr into

2ch space on each corner, ss to top of 3ch on beginning of round. Fasten off.

Loop - With WS of work facing re-join Red colour yarn to centre tr on any corner with a ss, work 8ch, ss to same tr on corner to form a ring. Turn. Working on RS make 1ch, work

10dc into 8ch ring, ss to same tr on corner. Fasten off.

Finishing - Sew in and tie off all loose ends of yarn.
