30 grams of King Cole big value DK yarn in Contrast Colour 1

20 grams of King Cole big value DK yarn in Contrast Colour 2

50 grams of King Cole big value DK Yarn in Main Colour

1.05oz of Worsted Weight Yarn in Contrast Color 1

0.75oz of Worsted Weight Yarn in Contrast Color 2

1.75oz of Worsted Weight Yarn in Main Color

4.00mm crochet hook

GAUGE - 9dc and 5 rows of dc's measure approx 2" x 2"

Motif (make 4) - Made in rounds without turning to last row.

With contrast color 1, ch6, sl st to first ch to make a ring, working into ring ch3, work (2dc, ch2) into ring, followed by (3dc, ch2) three times into ring, sl st to top of ch3 on beginning of row. Fasten off.

Next Row - Join in contrast color 2 with a sl st to a corner, ch3, 1dc, ch2, 2dc in corner,

* 1dc in each dc to next corner, (2dc, ch2, 2dc) in corner, * rpt from * to * to end, sl st to

top of ch3 on beginning of row. Fasten off.

Next Row - Join in main color yarn with a sl st to a corner, ch3, 1dc, ch2, 2dc in corner,

* 1dc in each dc to next corner, (2dc, ch2, 2dc) in corner, * rpt from * to * all around to

end, sl st to top of ch3 on beginning of row. Fasten off.

With WS facing sl st motifs together lengthways.

Next Row - Join in main color yarn with a sl st to a short side corner, ch3, 1dc, ch2, 2dc

in corner, 1dc in each dc to next corner, ** (2dc, ch2, 2dc) in corner, 1dc in each dc and

ch2 space on each motif to next corner, ** (2dc, ch2, 2dc) in corner, 1dc in each dc to next corner, rpt from ** to ** once, sl st to top of ch3 on beginning of row.

Next Row - ch3, work 1dc in each dc all around to end, working (2dc, ch2, 2dc) in each of the corners, sl st to top of ch3 on beginning of row.

Rpt last row twice more in main color, twice more in contrast color 1 and three times more

in main color. Fasten off.

Next Row - Join in contrast color 1, ch1, 1sc in base of ch1, 1sc in each dc around all

four sides to end, working 3sc in each corner, sl st to first sc on beginning of row. Turn.

Next Row - (Picot Row) ch1, 1sc in base of ch1, 1sc in each of next 2dc, * ch3, sl st to

top of last sc worked, 1sc in each of next 4dc, * rpt from * to * around four sides including corners, sl st to first dc on beginning of row. Fasten off.

Finishing - Sew in and tie off loose ends of yarn.
