rpt. Repeat
ss. Slip Stitch
tr2tog. Leaving last loop of each tr on hook,
work 2tr into next stitch, yrh draw through all 3 loops.
Crab Stitch.
Working left to right, work 1dc backwards into each dc to end.
Base of ch. Work into first stitch
3ch counts as first tr
Finished size approx: 17 Inches x 14 Inches
Materials
60 grams of Stylecraft Special DK in White (1001) Colour 1
20 grams of Stylecraft Special DK in Cloud Blue (1019) Colour 2
20 grams of Stylecraft Special DK in Fondant (1241) Colour 3
6.50mm & 4.50mm crochet hooks
TENSION - 3, tr2tog and 2 rows measure approx 1 Inch using 4.50mm hook

With 6.50mm hook and colour 1 make 48ch loosely, change to 4.50mm hook, work 1tr2tog
(see abbrev) into 4th ch from hook, 1tr2tog into each ch to last ch, 1tr into last
ch. Turn. (45, tr2tog, 1tr + 3ch)
Pattern Row - 3ch, 1tr2tog in each tr2tog to end, 1tr into top of 3ch. Turn.
Fasten off.
Work Pattern Row in colour sequence as follows:-
# Twice in colour 2. Fasten off.
Twice in colour 1. Fasten off.
Twice in colour 3. Fasten off.
Twice in colour 1. Fasten off. #
Rpt from # to # twice more until 26 pattern rows have been worked in all.
Do not turn at the end of last row.
Border - Make 1ch, 2dc into base of 1ch, work 50dc evenly into row ends down first
side of blanket to corner, 3dc into corner, working along cast on on edge work 1dc
into each ch to corner, 3dc into corner, work 50dc evenly into row ends up second
side of blanket to corner, 3dc into corner, 1dc into each tr2tog along top of blanket
to corner, 1dc into corner, ss to first dc. Turn.
Next Row - 1ch, 2dc into base of 1ch, 1dc into each dc to end, working 3dc into each
of the 3 corners, 1dc into last corner, ss to first dc. Turn.
Crab Edge - (see abbrev) 1ch, work 1 row of crab stitch around all four sides of
blanket. Fasten off.
Finishing - Weave and trim off all loose ends of yarn.
