Approx finished size:- 12” wide x 9” long
Materials
100 grams of King Cole Big Value DK in Grey (shade 093) Main Colour
20 grams of King Cole Big Value DK in White (shade 001) Contrast Colour
5.50mm Crochet hook
1 mtr (approx) of contrast colour ribbon
4 large wooden buttons
TENSION - 4dc and 5 rows of dc measure approx 1 Inch

Base - With 5.50mm hook and main colour make 7ch, 1dc into 2nd ch from hook, 1dc
into each ch to end. Turn. (6dc)
Row 2 - 1ch, 1dc into base of 1ch, 1dc into each dc to end. Turn.
Rpt last row 48 more times until 50 rows have been worked in all. Do not Turn at
the end of last row.
Main Piece - Working into row ends, work 1dc into each row end down first side to
end,
1dc into each ch along cast on edge, 1dc into each row end up second side and 1dc
into each dc along top of work, ss to first dc. Turn. (112dc)
Pattern Row - 1ch, 2dc into base of 1ch, * miss 1dc, 2dc into next dc, * rpt from
* to * around to last dc, miss last dc, ss to first dc. Turn.
Rpt Pattern Row until 27dc rows have been work in all from base. Turn. Fasten off.
Join in contrast colour and rpt Pattern Row four more times. Turn.
Eyelet Row - 1ch, 1dc into base of 1ch, * make 1ch, miss 1dc, 1dc into next dc, *
rpt from
* to * around to last dc, make 1ch, miss last dc, ss to first dc. Turn.
Next Row - 1ch, 2dc into base of 1ch, * miss 1ch space, 2dc into next dc, * rpt from
* to * to last 1ch space, miss last 1ch space, ss to first dc. Turn.
Rpt Pattern Row three more times. Fasten off.
Join in main colour and rpt Pattern Row four more times. DNT.
Working back over dc just worked, work 1 row of crab stitch. (see abbrev) Fasten
off.
Straps x 2 - With main colour yarn make 5ch, 1dc into 2nd ch from hook, 1dc into
each
ch to end. Turn. (4dc)
2nd Row - 1ch, 1dc into base of 1ch, 1dc into each dc to end. Turn.
Buttonhole Row - 1ch, 1dc into base of 1ch, make 2ch, miss 2dc, 1dc into last dc.
Turn.
4th Row - 1ch, 1dc into base of 1ch, 2dc into 2ch space, 1dc into last dc. Turn.
5th Row - 1ch, 1dc into base of 1ch, 1dc into each dc to end. Turn.
Rpt last row 68 more times until 73 rows have been worked in all from beginning.
Turn.
74th Row - Rpt Buttonhole Row. Turn.
75th Row - 1ch, 1dc into base of 1ch, 2dc into 2ch space, 1dc into last dc. Turn.
76th Row - 1ch, 1dc into base of 1ch, 1dc into each dc to end. Fasten off.
Finishing - Weave in any loose ends of yarn, thread contrast colour ribbon through
eyelet holes and tie in a bow. Attach 2 wooden buttons to each side of bag equally
(approx 3 Inches from each side) and fasten through buttonholes on straps.
