140 grams of James C Brett baby marble DK Yarn in shade 21

5oz of Worsted Weight #3

4.00mm & 4.50mm crochet hook

3 medium buttons


GAUGE - 4dc and 2.5 rows measure approx 1 Inch using 4.00mm hook

Worked in one piece starting with yoke, Using 4.00mm hook ch55, 1dc in 4th ch from hook, (RS) 1dc in each ch to end. Turn. (52dc + ch3)


2nd Row - (Inc Row) ch3, 1dc in next dc, * 2dc in next dc, 1dc in each of the next 4dc, * rpt from * to * to end, 1dc in top of ch3. Turn. (62dc + ch3)


3rd Row - ch3, 1dc in each dc to end, 1dc in top of ch3. Turn.


4th Row - (Inc Row) ch3, 1dc in next dc, * 2dc in next dc, 1dc in each of the next 3dc, * rpt from * to * to end, 1dc in top of ch3. Turn. (77dc + ch3)


5th Row - Work same as 3rd Row.


6th Row - (Inc Row) ch3, 1dc in next dc, * 2dc in next dc, 1dc in each of the next 2dc, * rpt from * to * to end, 1dc in top of ch3. Turn. (102dc + ch3)


7th Row - Work as 3rd Row.


8th Row - (Inc Row) as 6th Row until 1dc remains, work 2dc in dc, 1dc in top of ch3. (136dc + ch3)


9th Row - Work as 3rd Row.


10th Row - (Shape Armholes) ch3, 1dc in each of next 21dc, skip 24dc, (first armhole) 1dc in each of next 45dc, skip 24dc, (second armhole) 1dc in each of next 21dc, 1dc in top of ch3. Turn. (88dc + ch3)


Commence Skirt - ch3, skip 1dc, work (3dc, ch2, 1dc) in next dc, * skip 2dc, (3dc, ch2, 1dc) in next dc, * rpt from * to * to last dc and ch3 to turn with, skip 1dc, 1dc in top of ch3. Turn. (29 groups)


Pattern Row - ch3, work (3dc, ch2, 1dc) in each ch2 space to end, 1dc in top of ch3. Turn.


Rpt Pattern Row until 15 rows have been worked from division or work measures 12.5 Inches from Shoulder. Fasten off.


Sleeves x 2 - With WS facing re-join yarn to side of dc under arm, ch3, 1dc in each of next 24dc, 1dc in side of dc underarm on opposite side of sleeve, sl st to top of ch3 on beginning of row. Turn. (25dc +ch3)


Next Row - ch3, 1dc in each dc to end, sl st to top of ch3 on beginning of row. Turn.


Rpt last row until 11 rows have been worked from division or work measures approx 5 Inches.


Cuff - ch3, skip 1dc, work (3dc, ch2, 1dc) in next dc, * skip 2dc, (3dc, ch2, 1dc) in next dc, * rpt from * to * to last 2dc, skip last 2dc, (3dc, ch2) in base of ch3, sl st to top of ch3. Fasten off. (9 groups)


Collar - Using 4.50mm hook, WS facing and working along starting ch, rejoin yarn to neck edge, ch3, 1dc in each ch to end. Turn. (52dc + ch3)


Second Row - (Inc Row) ch3, 1dc in next dc, * 2dc in next dc, 1dc in each of the next 4dc,

* rpt from * to * to end, 1dc in top of ch3. Turn. (62dc + ch3)


Collar Edge - ch3, skip 1dc, work (3dc, ch2, 1dc) in next dc, * skip 2dc, (3dc, ch2, 1dc) in next dc, * rpt from * to * to last 2dc and ch3 to turn with, skip 2dc, 1dc in top of ch3. Fasten off. (20 groups)


Button/Button Band - With RS facing, 4.00mm hook and working up towards neck, rejoin yarn to bottom edge of coat, work 51sc evenly along front edge to base of collar. Turn.


Next Row - (Buttonholes) ch1, 1sc in base of ch1, * ch2, skip 1sc, 1sc in next 8sc, * rpt from * to * once, ch2, skip 1sc, 1sc in each sc to end. Turn.


Next Row - ch1, 1sc in base of ch1, work 1sc in each sc and ch2 space to end. Fasten off.


Button Band - With RS facing and starting at neck edge, work 51sc evenly along front edge to corner. Turn. Starting with ch1, 1sc in base of ch1, work 2 more rows of 1sc in each sc and turn at the end of each row. Fasten off.


Finishing - Close small gap under arms, weave in and trim off any loose strands of yarn. Sew on buttons to correspond with buttonholes.
