Base of ch. Work into first stitch


Size to fit approx:- 10” in length micro prem baby


Materials

20 grams of Bernat Softee baby in lilac (30185) colour 1

20 grams of Bernat Softee baby in antique white (30008) in colour 2

4.00mm crochet hook


TENSION - 6dc and 5 rows of dc's measures approx 1 Inch

Coat - With 4.00mm hook and colour 1, make 33ch, 1dc into 2nd ch from hook, 1dc into each ch to end. Turn. (32dc)


Work into back loop only from Row 2 to Row 9.

 

Row 2 - (Inc) 1ch, 1dc into base of 1ch, 1dc into each of next 3dc, 3dc into next dc, 1dc

into each of next 6dc, 3dc into next dc, 1dc into each of next 8dc, 3dc into next dc, 1dc

into each of next 6dc, 3dc into next dc, 1dc into each of next 4dc. Turn. (40dc)

 

Row 3 - 1ch, 1dc into base of 1ch, 1dc into each dc to end. Turn

 

Row 4 - (Inc) 1ch, 1dc into base of 1ch, 1dc into each of next 4dc, 3dc into next dc, 1dc

into each of next 8dc, 3dc into next dc, 1dc into each of next 10dc, 3dc into next dc, 1dc

into each of next 8dc, 3dc into next dc, 1dc into each of next 5dc. Turn. (48dc)

 

Row 5 - 1ch, 1dc into base of 1ch, 1dc into each dc to end. Turn.


Row 6 - (Inc) 1ch, 1dc into base of 1ch, 1dc into each of next 5dc, 3dc into next dc, 1dc

into each of next 10dc, 3dc into next dc, 1dc into each of next 12dc,  3dc into next dc, 1dc into each of next 10dc, 3dc into next dc, 1dc into each of next 6dc. Turn. (56dc)

 

Row 7 - 1ch, 1dc into base of 1ch, 1dc into each dc to end. Turn.

 

Row 8 - (Inc) 1ch, 1dc into base of 1ch, 1dc into next  6dc, 3dc into next dc, 1dc into each

of next 12dc, 3dc into next dc, 1dc into each of next 14dc, 3dc into next dc, 1dc into each

of next 12dc, 3dc into next dc, 1dc into each of next 7dc. Turn. (64dc)

 

Row 9 - 1ch, 1dc into base of 1ch, 1dc into each dc to end. Turn.

 

Row 10 - (Shape Armholes) Working through both loops from now on make 1ch, 1dc into base of 1ch, 1dc into each of next 8dc, miss 14dc, 1dc into each of next 18dc, miss 14dc, 1dc into each of next 9dc, Turn. (36dc)

 

Row 11 - (Inc) 1ch, 1dc into base of 1ch, 1dc into each of next 4dc, * 2dc into next dc, 1dc into each of next 5dc, * 2dc into next dc, 1dc into each of next 6dc, rpt from * to * to end. Turn. (41dc)


Pattern Row 1 - 1ch, ss into base of 1ch, * 1tr into next dc, ss into next dc * rpt from

* to * to end. Turn.


Pattern Row 2 - 1ch, 1dc into base of 1ch, 1dc into each st to end. Turn.


Rpt Pattern Rows 1 & 2 four more times each until 9 rows have been worked in all from yoke. Rpt Pattern Row 1 once. Fasten off.


Sleeves x 2 - With 4.00mm hook and WS facing, rejoin colour 1 to side of dc under arm, work 1ch, 1dc into base of 1ch, 1dc into each of next 14dc across sleeve, 1dc into side

of dc on opposite side, ss to first dc. Turn. (16dc)


Next Row  - 1ch, 1dc into base of 1ch, 1dc into each dc to end, ss to first dc. Turn.


Rpt Pattern Rows 1 & 2 three more times, slip stitching and turning at the end of each row. Rpt Pattern Row 1 once, ss at the end of the row. Fasten off.


Front edging - With colour 1, 4.00mm hook and RS facing, start at lower edge on right

hand side of coat, work 20dc evenly into row ends, up right front, 3dc into corner, 1dc into each stitch around neck, 3dc into corner, work 20dc evenly into row ends down left front

of coat. Fasten off.


Pants - With 4.00mm hook and colour 2 make 36ch, ss to first ch to form a ring, make

1ch, 1dc into base of 1ch, 1dc into each ch to end, ss to first dc. Turn. (36ch)


Rpt Pattern Rows 1 & 2 from coat four times each, slip stitching and turning at the end of each row until 9 rows have been worked in all. Rpt Pattern Row 1 once, ss to first stitch. Turn.


Divide for legs - (First Leg) 1ch, 1dc into base of 1ch, 1dc into each of next 17dc, ss to

first dc leaving 18dc un-worked (for second leg). Turn.


Working on these 18 stitches, rpt Pattern Rows 1 & 2 from coat four more times, slip stitching and turning at the end of each row. Rpt Pattern Row 1 once. Fasten off.


Second Leg - With RS facing, return and rejoin yarn to next dc at division of legs, 1ch,

1dc into base of 1ch, 1dc into each of next 17dc, ss to first dc. (18dc) Continue on these stitches in pattern as set and complete same as first leg. Fasten off.


With RS facing, rejoin colour 2 at waist and work 1ch, 1dc into base of 1ch, * make 1ch,

miss 1dc, 1dc into each of next 2dc, * rpt from * to * to end, ss to first dc. Fasten off.


Finishing - Sew in and tie of any loose ends of yarn on coat and pants, you can if you

prefer decorate with ribbon to neck and waist on pants but it is optional.
