TENSION - 5htr and 3 rows measures approx 1 Inch

Worked in rounds without turning until Row 11

Base - Make magic circle, with 4.50mm hook work 2ch, 10htr into circle, pull loose thread to close circle, miss 2ch, ss to first htr on beginning of row. (10htr)

Row 2 - (Inc Row) 2ch, 2htr into base of 2ch, 2htr into each htr to end, miss 2ch, ss to first htr on beginning of row. (20htr)

Row 3 - (Inc row) 2ch, 2htr into base of 2ch, 1htr into next htr, * 2htr into next htr, 1htr into next htr, * rpt from * to * to end, miss 2ch, ss to first htr on beginning of row. (30htr)

Row 4 - (Inc row) 2ch, 2htr into base of 2ch, 1htr into each of next 2htr, * 2htr in next htr, 1htr in each of next 2htr, * rpt from * to * to end, miss 2ch, ss to first htr on beginning of row. (40htr)

Row 5 - (Inc row) 2ch, 2htr into base of 2ch, 1htr into each of next 3htr, * 2htr into next htr, 1htr into each of next 3htr, * rpt from * to * to end, miss 2ch, ss to first htr on beginning of row. (50htr)

Row 11 - Working into back loop only, make 1ch, 2dc into base of 1ch, * miss 1htr, 2dc into next htr, * rpt from * to * to last htr, miss last htr, ss to first dc on beginning of row. Turn. (the front loop of the stitch will be known as loose loops later on in the pattern)

Top of Bowl - Working through both loops of stitch from now on.

Pattern Row - 1ch, 2dc into base of 1ch, * miss 1dc, 2dc into next dc, * rpt from * to * to last dc, miss last dc, ss to first dc on beginning of row. Turn.

Rpt Pattern Row until 28 rows have been worked from beginning.

Edging Row - 1ch, ss into base of 1ch, * miss 1dc, 5tr into next dc, miss 1dc, ss into next dc * rpt from * to * to last dc, miss last dc, ss to first ss on beginning of row. Fasten off.

Return and rejoin yarn to loose loops on base, work one row of crab stitch (see abbrev). Fasten off.

Finishing - Weave in all loose ends of yarn and trim.
