34 grams of Patons 100% cotton DK in Color 2

1oz of Worsted Weight #3 100% cotton in Color 1

4.50mm crochet hook

GAUGE - 5dc and 2 rows measures approx 1 Inch

Made in continuous rows without turning.

Using color 1 and 4.50mm hook ch21, 4dc in 4th ch from hook, 1dc in each of next 16ch, 5dc in last ch, working on opposite side of cast ch, work 1dc in each of next 16ch, sl st to top of ch3 on beginning of row. (41dc + ch3)

Row 2 - ch3, 1dc in base of ch3, 2dc in each of next 4dc, 1dc in each of next 16dc, 2dc in each of next 5dc, 1dc in each of next 16dc, sl st to top of ch3 on beginning of row. (51dc + ch3)

Row 3 - ch3, 1dc in base of ch3, 2dc in each of next 9dc, 1dc in each of next 16dc, 2dc in each of next 10dc, 1dc in each of next 16dc, sl st to top of ch3 on beginning of row. Fasten off. (71dc + ch3)

Row 4 - Join in color 2, ch2, work (1hdc, ch2, 1hdc) in base of ch2, * skip 1dc, (1hdc, ch2, 1hdc) in next dc, * rpt from * to * to last dc, skip dc, sl st to first hdc on beginning of row. (36vst)

Row 5-7 - sl st to first ch2 space, ch2, (1hdc, ch2, 1hdc) in same space, work (1hdc, ch2, 1hdc) in each ch2 space to end, sl st to first hdc on beginning of row.

Row 8 & 9 - sl st to first ch2 space, ch2, (2hdc, ch2, 2hdc) in same space, work (2hdc, ch2, 2hdc) in each ch2 space to end, sl st to first hdc on beginning of row. Fasten off. (36 shells)

Using color 1 rpt Rows 8 & 9. Fasten off.
