155 grams of King Cole big value baby DK

5.00mm & 4.50mm crochet hook

TENSION - 1.2 groups and 2 rows measures approx 1 Inch using 4.50mm hook

With 5.00mm hook make 84ch, change to 4.50mm hook, 3tr, into 5th ch from hook, * miss 3ch, (1dc, 3ch, 3tr) into next ch,* rpt from * to * to last 3ch, miss next 2ch, 1dc in last ch. Turn. (20 groups)

2nd Row - 4ch, miss 3ch, 3tr into the 4th ch from hook, * miss 3tr, (1dc, 3ch, 3tr) into next 3ch space, * rpt from * to * to last group, miss 3tr, 1dc into 3ch space. Turn.

Rpt 2nd Row until 34 rows have been worked or work measures approx 17 Inches from beginning. Turn.

Next Row - 3ch, 2tr into base of 3ch, * miss 3tr, ss into 3ch space, 3tr into dc, * rpt from * to * to last group, miss 3tr, ss into top of 3ch. Turn.

Border - 1ch, 1dc into base of 1ch, * 1dc into each of next 3tr, miss ss, * rpt from * to * to corner, 3dc into corner, working into row ends, work 59dc evenly down first side of shawl to corner, 3dc into corner, work 59dc evenly along cast on edge to next corner, 3dc into corner, working into row ends work 59dc evenly up second side of shawl to corner, 1dc into corner, ss to first dc. Turn.

Starting with 1ch, 1dc into base of 1ch, work 1dc into each dc around all four sides of shawl to end, working 3dc into corners, 1dc into corner, ss to first dc. Turn.

Next Row - 4ch, miss 3ch, 3tr into the 4th ch from hook, * miss 2dc, (1dc, 3ch, 3tr) into next dc, * rpt from * to * around all four sides of shawl to last dc, miss last dc, ss to first of 4ch on beginning of row. Turn.

Pattern Row - 4ch, miss 3ch, 3tr into the 4th ch from hook, * miss 3tr, (1dc, 3ch, 3tr) into next 3ch space, * rpt from * to * to end, ss to first of 4ch on beginning of row. Fasten off.

Finishing - Weave in any loose ends of yarn.
