Tr2tog.

Leaving last loop on hook work 2tr into space,

yrh and draw through all loops.

Tr3tog.

Leaving last loop on hook work 3tr into space,

yrh and draw through all loops.

Tr4tog.

Leaving last loop on hook work 4tr into space,

yrh and draw through all loops.

Approx size: Placemat 11.5" Diameter

Materials

50 grams of Double Knitting Yarn in each Main & Contrast Colours

5.00mm crochet hook

TENSION - 5tr and 2 rows of tr's measures approx 1" square

Placemat # # (Made in rounds without turning) - With Main Colour yarn make 5ch, ss to

first ch to form a ring, 3ch, work 11tr into ring, ss to top of 3ch on beginning of row.

Fasten off.

Round 2 - Join in contrast colour yarn between 3ch and first tr, 1ch, 1dc into base of

1ch, make 1ch, * 1dc into space between next 2tr's, 1ch, * rpt from * to * to end, ss to

first dc. (12dc + 12ch spaces)

Round 3 - ss to first 1ch space, 3ch, tr2tog (see abbrev above) into same space, * 2ch, tr3tog into next 1ch space, * rpt from * to * to end, 2ch, ss to top of 3ch. Fasten off.

Round 4 - Join main colour yarn to first 2ch space, make 3ch, 3tr into same space, miss tr3tog, * 4tr into next 2ch space, miss tr3tog, * rpt from * to * to end, ss to top of 3ch. # #

Round 5 - 3ch, 1tr into first tr, 2ch, * tr2tog over next 2tr, 2ch, * rpt from * to * end, ss to

top of 3ch. Fasten off.

Round 6 - Join in contrast colour yarn to first 2ch space, (3ch, 2tr) into same space,

* miss tr2tog, 3tr into next 2ch space, * rpt from * to * to end, ss to top of 3ch. Fasten off.

Round 7 - Using main colour yarn, rejoin to space between first two 3tr groups, 1ch, 1dc

into base of 1ch, * 4ch, miss 3tr, 1dc into space between next 3tr, * rpt from * to * to end, 4ch, ss to first dc.

Round 8 - ss to first 4ch space, make 3ch, tr3tog into same space, * 4ch, tr4tog into next 4ch space, * rpt form * to * to end, 4ch, ss to top of 3ch. Fasten off.

Round 9 - Join contrast colour yarn to first 4ch space, work 3ch, 3tr into same space,

* miss tr4tog, 4tr into next 4ch space, *  rpt from * to * to end, ss to top of 3ch.

Round 10 - Make 3ch, 1tr into first tr, 2ch, tr2tog over next 2tr, * 2ch, tr2tog over next 2tr,

* rpt form * to * to end, 2ch, ss to top of 3ch. Fasten off.

Round 11 - Join main colour yarn to first 2ch space, work 3ch, 2tr into same space,

* miss tr2tog, 3tr into next 2ch space, *  rpt from * to * to end, ss to top of 3ch. Fasten off.

Round 12 - Join contrast colour yarn to space between first two 3tr groups, make 1ch,

1dc into base of 1ch, * 4ch, miss 3tr, 1dc between next two 3tr groups, * rpt from * to end, 4ch, ss to first dc.

Round 13 - 1ch, * (1dc, 2tr, 1dc) into next 3ch space, * rpt from * to * to end, ss to first dc. Fasten off.

Finishing - Sew in and tie off loose ends of yarn.

Coaster - Rpt from # # to # #  from placemat. Fasten off.

Round 5 - Join contrast colour yarn to space between first two 4tr groups, make 1ch,

1dc into base of 1ch, * 5ch, miss 4tr, 1dc between next two 4tr groups, * rpt from * to

end, 5ch, ss to first dc.

Round 6 - 1ch, * (1dc, 3tr, 1dc) into next 5ch space, * rpt from * to * to end, ss to first dc. Fasten off.

Finishing - Sew in and tie off loose ends of yarn.

Napkin Ring  -  With 5.00mm hook and contrast colour, make 40ch, ss to first ch to form

a ring, 1ch, 1dc into next ch, * make 5ch, miss 4ch, 1dc into next ch, * rpt from * to * to

end, ss to first dc. Fasten off.

Round 2 - Join main colour yarn to first 5ch space, make 3ch, 3tr into same space,

* miss 1dc, 4tr into next 5ch space, * rpt from * to * to end, miss 1dc, ss to top of 3ch. Fasten off.

Round 3 - Join contrast colour yarn to space between first two 4tr groups, make 1ch,

1dc into base of 1ch, * 5ch, miss 4tr, 1dc between next two 4tr groups, * rpt from * to

end, 5ch, ss to first dc.

Round 4 - 1ch, * (1dc, 3tr, 1dc) into next 5ch space, * rpt from * to * to end, ss to first dc. Fasten off.

Rejoin contrast colour yarn to opposite side of cast on ch with a ss, rpt last row into 4ch spaces. Fasten off.

Finishing - Sew in and tie off loose ends of yarn.
