Materials
50 grams of Stylecraft Special DK in White
125 grams of Stylecraft Special DK yarn in each of the 2 Contrast Colours
5.00mm & 6.00mm crochet hooks
18 inch square cushion pad
5 medium buttons
TENSION - 4tr and 5 rows of Pattern Row 1 measures approx 1” using 5.00mm hook

With white yarn and 6.00mm hook, make 65ch, change to 5.00mm hook, work 2tr into 4th
ch from hook, 1tr into each of next 60ch, 6tr into last tr, working along opposite side of cast on ch, work 1tr into each of next 60ch, 3tr into last ch, ss to top of 3ch on beginning of row. Turn. (131tr + 3ch)
Next Row - 1ch, 1dc into base of 1ch, 1dc into each tr to end, ss to first dc on beginning of row. Turn. Fasten off. (132dc)
Next Row - Join in contrast colour 1, make 1ch, ss into base of 1ch, 1tr into next dc, * ss
into next dc, 1tr into next dc, * rpt from * to * to end, ss to 1ch on beginning of row. Turn.
(132st + 1ch)
Pattern Row 1 - 1ch, * ss loosely into next tr, 1tr into next ss, * rpt from * to * to end, ss to 1ch on beginning of row. Turn. Rpt last row 14 more times until 16 pattern rows have been worked in all. Fasten off.
Pattern Row 19 - Join in white yarn, make 3ch, 1tr into each tr and ss to last ss, miss last ss, ss to top of 3ch on beginning of row. Turn. (131tr + 3ch)
Pattern Row 20 - 1ch, 1dc into base of 1ch, 1dc into each tr to end, ss to first dc on beginning of row. Turn. Fasten off. (132dc)
Rpt Pattern Rows 1 to 20 as set always working Pattern Rows 19 and 20 in white, following the colour sequence as follows.
Twice in contrast colour 2.
Once in Contrast Colour 1
Work Pattern Rows 19 and 20 once more each. (you should have worked 2tr rows and 2dc rows in all). Fasten off.
Finishing - Weave in ends, attach buttons to the inside evenly along the open end of the cover and use gaps in tr's as buttonholes.
