Base of ch. Work into first stitch

Finished size approx: 3.5 Inches x 4 Inches

Materials

20 grams of King Cole Candystripe DK Yarn (431)

5.00mm & 4.50mm crochet hooks

1 decorative button

TENSION - 5dc and 6 rows measure approx 1 Inch using 4.50mm hook

With 5.00mm crochet hook make 41ch, change to 4.50mm hook, 1dc into 2nd ch from hook, * miss 1ch, 2dc into next ch, * rpt from * to * to last ch, 1dc into last ch. Turn. (40dc)

Pattern Row - 1ch, 1dc into base of 1ch, * miss 1dc, 2dc into next dc, * rpt from * to * to last dc, 1dc into last dc. Turn.

Repeat Pattern Row until 18 rows have been worked in all. Fasten off.

Fold over one end approx 3 inches.

Edging - With RS facing and using 4.50mm hook, rejoin yarn to bottom right hand corner of fold over, make 1ch, 1dc into next 14ch, (working through front and back starting ch's to seal edges), 1dc into each of the next 10 ch's to corner, 3dc into corner, 1dc into each of the next 8 row ends, make 5ch (loop) miss 1 row end, 1dc into each of the next 8 rows ends, 3dc into corner, 1dc into each of the next 10dc, work 1dc into each of the remaining 14dc (picking up both sides of work to seal edges). Fasten off.

Finishing - Weave in any loose ends of yarn, attach button to correspond with looped flap.
