Materials
200 grams of Double Knitting Yarn in Main Colour
50 grams of Double Knitting Yarn in each
of 3 Contrast Colours
6.00mm & 5.50mm Crochet Hooks
4 Medium Buttons, one 16" x 16" cushion pad

TENSION - 10tr & 7 rows of Pattern measures approx 2” square

With Main colour yarn and 6.00mm hook, make 62ch, change to 5.50mm hook, work
1dc into 2nd ch from hook, 1dc into each ch to end. Turn. (61dc)

Row 2 - # 3ch, 1tr into each dc to end. Turn. (60tr + 3ch)

Row 3 - 1ch, 1dc into base of 1ch, 1dc into each tr to end, 1dc into top of 3ch. Turn.
Fasten off.

Row 4 - Join in contrast colour 1, ss into first dc, * 1tr into next dc, ss into next dc, * rpt
from * to * to end. Fasten off.

Row 5 - Re-join main colour yarn, 1ch, 1dc into base of 1ch, 1dc into each tr and ss t
end. Turn.

Rpt Rows 2 and 3. Fasten off.

Row 8 - Join in contrast colour 2, ss into first dc, * 1tr into next dc, ss into next dc, * rpt
from * to * to end. Fasten off.
Row 9 - Re-join in main colour yarn, 1ch, 1dc into base of 1ch, 1dc into each tr and ss to end. Turn.

Rpt Rows 2 and 3. Fasten off.

Row 12 - Join in contrast colour 3, ss into first dc, * 1tr into next dc, ss into next dc, * rpt
from * to * to end. Fasten off.

Row 13 - Re-join main colour yarn, 1ch, 1dc into base of 1ch, 1dc into each tr and ss to
end. Turn.

Rpt Rows 2 and 3. Fasten off.

Row 16 - Join in contrast colour 2, ss into first dc, * 1tr into next dc, ss into next dc, * rpt
from * to * to end. Fasten off.

Row 17 - Re-join main colour yarn, 1ch, 1dc into base of 1ch, 1dc into each tr and ss to
end. Turn. #

Rpt Rows from # to # until 27 contrast colour rows have been worked in all.

Work Rows 2, 3, 2 turning at the end of each row. Turn. Place a colour marker each end
of row.

Flap
Working into back loop of stitch only work Row 3. Working through both loops of stitch from now on work Rows 2 and 3 twice each, work Row 2. Turn.

Edge - 1ch, 2dc into base of 1ch, 1dc into each tr to end, 3dc into top of 3ch, working
down first side of cushion cover and working into row ends, work 148dc evenly along to corner, 3dc into corner, working along cast on edge, work 1dc into each ch to corner, 3dc into corner, again working into row ends up second side of cushion cover, work 148dc evenly along to corner, 1dc into corner, ss to first dc. Fasten off.

With RS facing, fold bottom up to coloured markers, (now working on WS of work) with 5.50mm hook rejoin main colour yarn to a coloured marker, close side of cushion cover
by ss the centre loops from the back and front dc's together down to fold. Fasten off.
Rpt the same for second side.

Finishing - Sew in and tie off any loose ends of yarn, turn through to RS, sew on coloured buttons evenly to main part, use gaps in tr's on flap as buttonholes.
