Materials
40 grams of Stylecraft Special DK in Main Colour
10 grams of Double Knitting Yarn in Contrast Colour
Small amount in green and 2 other contrast colours for flowers and leaves
4.00mm crochet hook

TENSION - 5tr and 2.5 rows measures approx 1 Inch

Doily (Made in continuous rows without turning to edging) -
With Main colour yarn and 4.00mm hook, make 4ch, ss to first ch to make a ring, 3ch, 2tr
into ring, make 2ch, (work 3tr, 2ch, three more times into ring), ss to top of 3ch on beginning of row.

Row 2 - 3ch, 1tr into each of next 2tr, * (2tr, 2ch, 2tr) into 2ch space on corner, 1tr into each of next 3tr, * rpt from * to * twice more, (2tr, 2ch, 2tr) into 2ch space on corner, ss to top of 3ch.

Row 3 - 3ch, 1tr into each of next 4tr, * (2tr, 2ch, 2tr) into 2ch space on corner, 1tr into each of next 7tr, * rpt from * to * twice more, (2tr, 2ch, 2tr) into 2ch space on corner, 1tr into each of next 2tr, ss to top of 3ch. Fasten off.

Row 4 - 3ch, 1tr into each of next 6tr, * (2tr, 2ch, 2tr) into 2ch space on corner, 1tr into each of next 11tr, * rpt from * to * twice more, (2tr, 2ch, 2tr) into 2ch space on corner, 1tr into each of next 4tr, ss to top of 3ch.

Row 5 to 7 - 3ch, * 1tr into each tr to corner, (2tr, 2ch, 2tr) into 2ch space on corner, * rpt from * to * until you have worked all four corners, work 1tr into each tr to end, ss to top of 3ch on beginning of row. Fasten off at the end of row 7.

Join in contrast colour yarn and work last row once. Turn.

Edging - Work 1ch, 1dc into base of 1ch, 1dc into each dc and 3dc into all corners to end, ss to first dc on beginning of row. Turn. Fasten off.

Next Row - Join in main colour and rpt last row once. Turn.

Next Row - 1ch, 1dc into base of 1ch, * make 1ch, miss 1dc, 1dc into each of next 2dc, * rpt from * to * around all four sides of doily, working 3dc into corners, ss to first dc on beginning of row. Turn.

Next Row - 1ch, * (ss, 3ch, 2tr, 3ch, ss) into next 1ch space, miss 2dc, * rpt from * to * to end, ss to first ss. Fasten off.

Flower (Make one in each of 3 contrast colours) - With 4.00mm hook, make 15ch, work
2htr into 3rd ch from hook, (miss 1ch, 3htr into next ch), twice, (miss 1ch, 3tr into next ch), three times, miss 1ch, ss into last ch. Fasten off.

Roll from htr to tr's to make flower shape, secure at the back with loose ends of yarn.

Leaf (Make 2) - With green coloured yarn and 4.00mm hook make 10ch, 3tr into 4th ch from hook, 1tr into each of next 3ch, 1htr into next ch, 1dc into next ch,  (ss, 2ch, ss) into last ch, (makes a point), working on opposite side of cast on ch, work 1dc into next ch, 1htr into next ch, 1tr into each of next 3ch, 3tr into last ch, ss to top of 3ch. Fasten off.

Finishing - Arrange and sew the three coloured flowers together, place leaves to your
liking (see main picture), secure flowers and leaves to doily, sew in and tie off any loose ends of yarn.
