TENSION - 4htr and 3 rows measures approx 1 Inch using 5.00mm hook

With colour 1, using 5.50mm hook, make 84ch. Change to 5.00mm hook, (RS) work 1htr into 2nd ch from hook, 1htr into each ch to end. Fasten off. Turn. (83htr)

Row 2 - Join in colour 2, make 3ch, miss 1htr, 1vst into next htr (see abbrev) * miss 2htr, 1vst into next htr, * rpt from * to * to last 2htr, miss 1htr, 1htr into last htr. Turn. (27, vst)

Row 3 - Make 3ch, 1vst into 1ch space of each vst to end, 1tr into top of 3ch. Turn.

Row 4 - Rpt Row 3. Fasten off. Turn.

Row 5 - Join in colour 1, make 1ch, 1htr into base of 1ch, 1htr into each tr and 1ch space to end, 1htr into top of 3ch. Fasten off. Turn. (83htr)

Row 6 to 10 - Join in colour 3, make 1ch, 1htr into base of 1ch, 1htr into each htr to end. Turn. Fasten off at the end of Row 10. Turn.

Row 11 - Join in colour 1, make 1ch, 1htr into base of 1ch, 1htr into each htr to end. Fasten off. Turn.

Rpt Rows 2 to 11 five more times. Fasten off. Turn.

Rpt Rows 2 to 5 once. Fasten off.

Border - Using to 5.50mm hook and colour 3, make 1ch, 1htr into base of 1ch, 1htr into each htr to end, 3htr into last htr, work 86htr evenly into row ends down first side of blanket to corner, 3htr into corner, 1htr into each ch along cast on edge to corner, 3htr into corner, 86htr evenly into row ends up second side of blanket to corner, 1htr into corner, ss to first htr. Turn.

Work 2 more rows of 1htr into each htr, work 3htr into corners and ss to first htr at the end of each row. Fasten off. Turn.

Join in colour 1 and work 1 row of htr, working 3htr into corners, ss to first htr on beginning of row. Fasten off. Turn.

Join in colour 3 and work 2 more rows of 1htr into each htr, work 3htr into corners and ss to first htr on the end of each row. Fasten off.

Finishing - Weave all loose ends of yarn and trim.
