Work 5dc in next dc, drop the loop from your hook,

working through top of the first of the 5dc,

pick up dropped loop and pull through.

Base of ch. Work in first stitch

ch3 counts as first dc

Materials

Small amount of Stylecraft Special DK in Colours 1 & 2

Small amounts of Worsted Weight #3 in Colors 1 & 2

4.50mm crochet hook

Flower - Worked in continuous rounds without turning, using color 1 make magic circle, ch3, work 15dc in circle, pull loose yarn to close, join with sl st to top of ch3 on beginning of round. Fasten off. (15dc + ch3)

Round 2 - Join in color 2 with a sl st to top of ch3, ch4, * work 1pc in next dc, (see abbrev) ch1, 1dc in next dc, ch1, * rpt from * to * to last dc, 1pc in last dc, ch1, sl st to 3rd of ch4 on beginning of row. Fasten off. (8pc)

Round 3 - Working behind pc's, join in color 1 with a sl st to top of ch3, * ch3, sl st in next dc, * rpt from * to * 6 more times, sl st to first sl st on beginning of round. (8, ch3 spaces)

Round 4 - ch1, work (1sc, 1dc, 2trc, 1dc, 1sc) in each ch3 space to end, sl st to first sc. Fasten off.

Finishing - Weave in all loose ends and trim.
