WS. Wrong Side

RS. Right Side

dc. Double Crochet

ss. Slip Stitch

yrh. Yarn round hook

DNT. Do not turn

etr. Extended Treble Crochet

yrh, insert hook into stitch, yrh and pull up loop

(3 loops on hook), yrh draw through 1 loop, yrh

draw through 2 loops, (twice).

Base of ch. Work into first stitch

Finished size approx:- 4" in diameter

Materials

Oddments of Double Knitting in 3 Contrast Colours

A scented filling of your choice

5.00mm & 4.00mm crochet hooks

TENSION - 5dc & 5 rows of dc measures approx 1"

Scented Sachet Sides x 2 - With colour 1 make a magic circle, using 5.00mm hook

make 1ch, work 13dc into circle, pull loose thread to close circle, ss to first dc on

beginning of round. DNT. (13dc)

Row 2 - 1ch, 1dc into base of 1ch, 1dc into each dc to end, ss to first dc on beginning

of row. DNT.

Row 3 - Make 1ch, 2dc into base of 1ch, 2dc into each dc to end, ss to first dc on

beginning of row. DNT. (26dc) Fasten off.

Row 4 - Join in colour 2, rpt Row 2. DNT.

Row 5 - Make 1ch, 2dc into base of 1ch, * 1dc into next dc, 2dc into next dc, rpt from

* to * to last dc, 1dc into last dc, ss to first dc on beginning of row. DNT. (39dc)

Row 6 - Rpt Row 2. DNT. Fasten off.

Filling and Closing - With 5.00mm hook and colour 3 working with RS of each piece

facing, place both pieces together and work through dc's, make 1ch, 1dc into each dc to

last 14dc, fill with scented filling of your choice, (ie. scented crystals, rice etc.) 1dc into

each of last 14dc, ss to first dc on beginning of row. Turn.

Row 8 - 1ch, * (1dc, 1etr, 1dc) into base of 1ch, miss 1dc, * rpt from * to * to end, ss to

first dc. DNT. (for etr stitch see abbreviations)

Make 10ch, ss to base of 10ch. Fasten off. You can make more chains here if necessary.

Finishing - Sew in and tie off loose ends of yarn, attach a ribbon rosebud bow to dc's

under loop.
