GAUGE - 4dc and 2 rows of dc's measure approx 1 Inch

1st Row - Made in continues rounds without turning throughout.

Using main color yarn make a magic circle, with 4.50mm hook ch1, work 14dc in ring, pull loose thread to close circle, sl st to first dc on beginning of row. (14dc)

2nd Row - (Inc) ch1, 2dc in base of ch1, 2dc in each dc to end, sl st to first dc on beginning of row. (28dc)

3rd Row - (Inc) ch1, 1dc in base of ch1, 2dc in next dc, * 1dc in next dc, 2dc in next dc,
* rpt from * to * to end, sl st to first dc on beginning of row. (42dc)

4th Row - (Inc) ch1, 1dc in base of ch1, 1dc in next dc, 2dc in next dc, * 1dc in each of
next 2dc, 2dc in next dc, * rpt from * to * to end, sl st to first dc on beginning of row. (56dc)

Row 2 - (Inc) Working in back loop only ch1, 2dc in base of ch1, 2dc in each dc to end,
sl st to first dc on beginning of row. Fasten off. (26dc)

Row 3 - Join in contrast color yarn, ch2, work 3exdc (see abbrev) in base of ch2, 3exdc in each dc to end, sl st to first exdc on beginning of row. Fasten off.

Return to loose loops you created with row 2, rejoin main color yarn to first loop, ch1, 3dc
in same loop, 3dc in each loop to end, sl st to first dc on beginning of row. Fasten off.

Finishing - Weave in any loose ends of yarn, attach frilled flower over contrast color band on hat.
