12 grams of Stylecraft Special DK in Main Colour
5 grams of Double Knitting Yarn in Contrast Colour

OR
0.5oz of Worsted Weight #3 Yarn in Main Color
0.2oz of Worsted Weight Yarn in Contrast Color
5.50mm & 4.00mm Crochet Hooks
1 Small Button

GAUGE - 5hdc & 4 rows of hdc measures approx 1 inch

With main color yarn make a magic circle, using a 5.50mm hook ch17, change to
4.00mm hook and work 2hdc in the 3rd ch from hook, 1hdc in each of next 14ch, work
6hdc in centre of magic circle, pull loose yarn to close, 1hdc in each of next 14ch, 3hdc
in last ch, sl st to top of ch2 on beginning of row. Turn. (39hdc + ch2)

Next Row - ch2, 1hdc in each hdc to end, sl st to top of ch2 on beginning of row. Turn.

Rpt last row until 10 rows have been worked in all or work measures approx 3 Inches
from beginning. Turn. Fasten off.

Flap - Working in back loop only join in contrast color yarn, work ch1, 1sc in base of ch1,
* skip 1sc, 2sc in next sc, * rpt from * to * 8 more times, 1sc in next sc, turn leaving 20hdc
un-worked.

Next Row - Working through both loops from now on, ch1, 1sc in base of ch1 * skip 1sc, 2sc in next sc, * rpt from * to * to last sc, 1sc in last sc. Turn.

Rpt last row 4 more times. Turn.

Next Row - (Buttonhole Row) - ch1, 1sc in base of ch1, * skip 1sc, 2sc in next sc, * rpt from * to * 6 more times, skip 1sc, 1sc in next sc, ch2, skip 1sc, 1sc in each of last 2sc. Turn.

Next Row - ch1, 1sc in base of ch1, skip 1sc, 1sc in ch2 space, 1sc in next sc, * skip
1sc, 2sc in next sc, * rpt from * to * to end, 1sc in last sc. Fasten off.

Flower Motif - With main color yarn make magic circle, using 4.00mm hook ch1, work
12sc in circle, pull loose yarn to close circle, sl st to first sc. Fasten off. DNT.

Next Row - Join in contrast color yarn, ch1, 1sc, 3dc, 1sc in base of ch1, * skip 1sc
(1sc, 3dc, 1sc) in next sc, * rpt from * to * to last sc, skip last sc, sl st to first sc. Fasten off.

Finishing - Sew in and tie off loosed ends of yarn, attach centre of flower to opposite
side of buttonhole and a main color button to purse, fasten through buttonhole.
