25 grams of Stylecraft Special DK in Stone (1710) Colour 1

25 grams of Stylecraft Special DK in Sunshine (1114) Colour 2

1oz of Worsted Weight #3 in each of colors 1 & 2

4.00mm crochet hook

GAUGE - N/A

With 4.00mm hook and color 1 ch51, 5dc in 6th ch from hook, * skip ch2, 1dc in next ch, skip ch2, 5dc in next ch, * rpt from * to * to end. Turn. (8 groups)

Pattern Row - ch3, * skip 2dc, 5dc in next dc, skip 2dc, 1dc in next dc, * rpt from * to * to end, work last dc in top of turning ch. Turn.

Rpt Pattern Row in color sequence as follows:-

Once in color 1. Fasten off. Turn.

Three times in color 2. Fasten off. Turn.

Three times in color 1. Fasten off. Turn.

Three times in color 2. Fasten off. Turn.

Three times in color 1. Turn.

Next Row - ch1, 1sc in base of ch1, * ch2, skip 2dc, 1sc in next dc, ch2, skip 2dc, 1sc in next dc, * rpt from * to * to end. Fasten off. Turn.

Edging - Join in color 2 with a sl st, ch1, 1sc in base of ch1, work * 2sc in next ch2 space, 1sc in sc, * rpt from * to * to last sc, work 3sc in last sc, work 30sc evenly in row ends down first side of mat to corner, 3sc in corner, rpt from * to * along cast on edge to corner, 3sc in corner, work 30sc evenly in row ends up second side of mat to corner, 1sc in base of ch1,

sl st to first sc. Turn.

2nd Row - ch1, 1sc in base of ch1, 1sc in each sc around all four sides of mat, working 3sc in each corner, sl st to first sc. Turn. Rpt last row once. Fasten off.

4th Row - Join in color 1 with a sl st, ch5, * skip 1sc, 1dc in next sc, ch2, * rpt from * to * around all four sides of mat working (1dc, ch2, 1dc) in each corner. Turn.

5th Row - ch1, (1sc, ch3, 1sc) in each ch2 space to end. Fasten off.

Finishing - Weave any loose ends of yarn and trim.
