GAUGE - 10sc and 9 rows of sc measures approximately 2“ x 2“ (5cm x 5cm)

Cutie Booties - With 5.00mm hook ch25, sl st to first ch to form a ring, change to

4.00mm hook, (RS) ch1, 1sc in each ch to end, sl st to first sc. Turn. (24sc)

Next Row - ch1, 1sc in base of ch1, 1sc in each sc to end, sl st to first sc. Turn. Rpt last

row four more times, making 6 rows in all. Fasten off. Turn.

Instep - Counting from back seam, skip first 8sc, rejoin yarn to 9th sc, ch1, 1sc in base

of ch1, 1sc in each of next 7sc. Turn. (8sc)

Next row - ch1, 1sc in base of ch1, 1sc in each of next 7sc. Turn. Rpt last row 5 more

times, making 7 rows in all. Fasten off.

With RS facing and main color yarn, rejoin yarn at back seam, working along ankle, work

ch1, 1sc in base of ch1, 1sc in next 7sc along ankle, working in row ends of Instep work

7sc evenly up first side of instep, 1sc in each of next 8sc along toe edge, working in row ends work 7sc evenly down second side of Instep, 1sc in each of 8sc along ankle, sl st

to first sc on beginning of row. Turn. (38sc).

Next row - ch1, 1sc in base if ch1, 1sc in each sc to end, sl st to first sc on beginning of row. Turn.

Next row - (dec row, see abbrev) ch1, 1sc in base of ch1, dec 1sc over next 2sc, 1sc in each of the next 14sc, dec 1sc, over next 2sc, (twice), 1sc in next 14sc, dec 1sc, over

next 2sc, 1sc in last sc, sl st to first sc on beginning of row. Turn. (34sc)

Next row - ch1, 1sc in base ch1, 1sc in each sc to end, sl st to first sc on beginning of

row. Turn.

Next row - (dec row) ch1, 1sc in base of ch1, dec 1sc, over next 2sc, 1sc in each of the next 12sc, dec 1sc over next 2sc, (twice), 1sc in next 12sc, dec 1sc over next 2sc, 1sc in last sc, sl st to first sc on beginning of row. Turn. (30sc).

Next row - ch1, 1sc in base of ch1, 1sc in each sc to end, sl st to first sc on beginning of row. Turn.

Next row - (dec row) ch1, 1sc in base of ch1, dec 1sc over next 2sc, 1sc in each of the

next 10sc, dec 1sc over next 2sc, (twice), 1sc in next 10sc, dec 1sc over next 2sc, 1sc in last sc, sl st to first sc on beginning of row. Fasten off. (26sc)

Next row - ch1, 1sc in base of ch1, 1sc in each sc to end, sl st to first sc on beginning of row. Turn. With WS facing, close open gap, by sl st or over sewing both sides together. Fasten off.

With WS facing, return and rejoin main color yarn at back seam to cast on edge, ch3 skip ch1 * 1vst in next ch, skip ch2, 1shell in next ch, skip ch2, * rpt from * to * to last ch2, skip ch1, work 1 shell in next ch, sl st to top of ch3. Turn. (4 vst, 4 shells)

Next Row - ch3, work 1vst in shell, 1 shell in vst to end, sl st to top of ch3. Fasten off.

Next Row - With contrast color yarn ch1, 1sc in base of ch1, * 1sc, 3dc, 1sc in next ch space, * rpt from * to * to end, sl st to first sc. Fasten off.

Finishing - Sew in and tie off all loose ends of yarn. Turn through to RS, fold top of bootie down onto front.
