        GAUGE - 4dc and 2 rows of dc measures approx 1 Inch

        Headband - With 6.00mm hook ch14, change to 5.00mm hook, (RS) work 1sc in
        2nd ch from hook, 1sc in each ch to end. Turn. (13sc)
        
        Next Row - ch1, 1sc in base of ch1, 1sc in each sc to end. Turn.
        
        Pattern Row 1 - # # Working in back loop of stitch only ch3, 1dc in each sc to end.
        (12dc + ch3)
        
        Pattern Row 2 - Working through both loops ch3, * 1dc in each of next 2dc, dcb
        (see abbrev above) in next dc, * rpt from * to * to last 2dc and ch3 to turn with, 1dc in
        each of last 2dc, 1dc in top of ch3. Turn.
        
        Pattern Row 3 - ch3, * 1dc in each of next 2dc, dcf (see abbrev above) in next dc,
        * rpt from * to * to last 2dc and ch3 to turn with, 1dc in each of last 2dc, 1dc in top of ch3. Turn.
        
        Pattern Row 4 - ch3, * 1dc in each of next 2dc, dcb in next dc, * rpt from * to * to last
        2dc and ch3 to turn with, 1dc in each of last 2dc, 1dc in top of ch3. Turn.
        
        Pattern Row 5 - Working in back loop of stitch only ch1, 1sc in base of ch1, 1sc in each
        dc to end, 1sc in top of ch3. Turn. Working through both loops work three more rows in sc starting with ch1 and turning at the end of each row. # # 
        
        Rpt from # # to # # six more times, making seven complete patterns in all. Turn.
        
        Rpt Pattern Rows 1 to 4 once. Working in back loop of stitch only and starting with ch1, work one row of sc. Turn. Working through both loops rpt last row.
        
        Fold headband in half and with WS facing sl st cast on edge and last row of sc together to make a circle. Fasten off.
        
        Outside Edge x 2 - With RS facing and 4.00mm hook rejoin yarn to first stitch after
        seam, working in row ends and starting with ch1, work 80sc evenly around to end, sl st
        to first sc. Turn. Starting with ch1, work one more row of sc, sl st to first sc. Fasten off.
        Rpt last 2 rows for second side of headband.
        
        Flower Motif - Made in rounds without turning, with 4.00mm hook ch4, sl st to 1st ch to
        make a ring, ch1, work 10sc in ring, sl st to first sc.
        
        Round 2 - ch1, 2sc in each sc to end, sl st to first sc. (20sc)
        
        Round 3 - 6ch, 1dc in base of 6ch, * skip 1sc, (1dc, ch3, 1dc) in next sc, * rpt from
        * to * to last sc, skip last sc, sl st to 3rd of 6ch. (10, ch3 spaces)
        
        Round 4 - ch1, * (1sc, 1hdc, 4dc, 1hdc, 1sc) in next ch3 space, * rpt from * to * to end,
        sl st to first sc. Fasten off. (10 Groups)
        
        Covered Button - With 3.50mm hook, ch8, 1sc in 2nd ch from hook, 1sc in each ch to
        end. Turn. (7sc)
        
        Work 5 more rows in sc on these stitches, making 6 rows in all, fasten off leaving a long length of yarn (enough to gather and attach to flower with.
        
        Thread yarn evenly all around four sides through sc's, place medium sizes button in center and gather around it tightly, secure so that button cannot break free. 
        
        Finishing - Attach covered button over centre hole, sew in and tie off loose ends.
