GAUGE - 1 pattern repeat and 2.5 rows measures approx 1 Inch

Base - With color 1 ch5, sl st to first ch to form a ring, ch3, 10dc in ring, sl st to top of ch3 on beginning of row. (10dc + ch3) DNT

2nd Row - ch3, 1dc in base of ch3, 2dc in each dc to end, sl st to top of ch3 on beginning of row. (21dc + ch3) DNT

3rd Row - ch3, 1dc in base of ch3, * 1dc in next dc, 2dc in next dc, * rpt from * to * to last dc, 1dc in last dc, sl st to top of ch3 on beginning of row. Turn. (32dc + ch3)

Top - ch3, work 2dc in base of ch3, * skip 1dc, 1sc in next dc, skip 1dc, 5dc in next dc, * rpt from * to * to last 4dc, skip 1dc, 1sc in next dc, skip 1dc, 2dc in last dc, sl st to top of ch3. Turn. (8, 3dc groups)

Pattern Row 1 - ch1, 1sc in base of ch1, * skip 2dc, 5dc in next sc, skip 2dc, 1sc in centre dc of 5dc group, * rpt from * to * to last sc, work 5dc in sc, skip 2dc, sl st to first sc on beginning of row. Turn.

Pattern Row 2 - ch3, work 2dc in base of ch3, * skip 2dc, 1sc in centre dc on 5dc group, skip 2dc, 5dc in next sc, * rpt from * to * to last 5dc group and sc, skip 2dc, 1sc in centre dc on 5dc group, skip 2dc, 2dc in last sc, sl st to top of ch3. Turn.

Fasten off.

Join in color 2 and rpt Pattern Rows 1 & 2 until 12 rows have been worked in all including base.

Next Row - ch3, 3dc in base of ch3, * skip 2dc, 1sc in centre dc on 5dc group, skip 2dc, 7dc in next sc, * rpt from * to * to last 5dc group and sc, skip 2dc, 1sc in centre dc on 5dc group, skip 2dc, 3dc in last sc, sl st to top of ch3. Fasten off.

Chain Tie - Using color 1, ch90. Fasten off.

Finishing - Weave in any loose ends of yarn and trim, thread chain tie through the gaps in dc's around second row from top and make in a bow, attach a novelty button to each end of tie.
