10 grams of Stylecraft Special DK in Wisteria (1432) Colour 1

20 grams of Stylecraft Special DK in White (1001) Colour 2

4.00mm crochet hook, 2 novelty buttons

TENSION - 1 pattern repeat and 2.5 rows measures approx 1 Inch

Base - With colour 1 make 5ch, ss to first ch to form a ring, work 3ch, 10tr into ring, ss to top of 3ch on beginning of row. (10tr + 3ch) DNT

2nd Row - 3ch, 1tr into base of 3ch, 2tr into each tr to end, ss to top of 3ch on beginning of row. (21tr + 3ch) DNT

3rd Row - 3ch, 1tr into base of 3ch, * 1tr into next tr, 2tr into next tr, * rpt from * to * to last tr, 1tr into last tr, ss to top of 3ch on beginning of row. Turn. (32tr + 3ch)

Top - Make 3ch, work 2tr into base of 3ch, * miss 1tr, 1dc into next tr, miss 1tr, 5tr into next tr, * rpt from * to * to last 4tr, miss 1tr, 1dc into next tr, miss 1tr, 2tr into last tr, ss to top of 3ch. Turn. (8, 3tr groups)

Pattern Row 1 - Make 1ch, 1dc into base of 1ch, * miss 2tr, 5tr into next dc, miss 2tr, 1dc into centre tr of 5tr group, * rpt from * to * to last dc, work 5tr into dc, miss 2tr, ss to first dc on beginning of row. Turn.

Pattern Row 2 - Make 3ch, work 2tr into base of 3ch, * miss 2tr, 1dc into centre tr on 5tr group, miss 2tr, 5tr into next dc, * rpt from * to * to last 5tr group and dc, miss 2tr, 1dc into centre tr on 5tr group, miss 2tr, 2tr into last dc, ss to top of 3ch. Turn.

Fasten off.

Join in colour 2 and rpt Pattern Rows 1 & 2 until 12 rows have been worked in all including base.

Rpt Pattern Row 1.

Next Row - 3ch, 3tr into base of 3ch, * miss 2tr, 1dc into centre tr on 5tr group, miss 2tr, 7tr into next dc, * rpt from * to * to last 5tr group and dc, miss 2tr, 1dc into centre tr on 5tr group, miss 2tr, 3tr into last dc, ss to top of 3ch. Fasten off.

Chain Tie - Using colour 1, make 90ch. Fasten off.

Finishing - Weave in any loose ends of yarn and trim, thread chain tie through the gaps in tr's around second row from top and make in a bow, attach a novelty button to each end of tie.
