Materials
3.5oz of Worsted Weight #3 Yarn in Main Color
Small amounts of Worsted Weight #3 Yarn
in Contrast Colors for tassels
6.00mm & 5.00mm crochet hooks
GAUGE - 4sc and 6 rows of sc measures approx 1 Inch

With 6.00mm hook ch164 loosely, change to 5.00mm hook, 1sc in 2nd ch from hook,
* skip 1ch, 2sc in next ch, * rpt from * to * to last 2ch's, skip 1ch, 1sc in last ch. Turn.

Pattern Row - ch1, 1sc in base of ch1, * skip 1sc, 2sc in next sc, * rpt from * to * to last
sc, 1sc in last sc. Turn.
Rpt last row 16 more times, making 18 rows in all. Turn.
Edging - ch1, 2sc in base of ch1, 1sc in each sc to corner, 3sc in corner, working down
first side of scarf, work 1sc in each of next 16 row ends to corner, 3sc in corner, 1sc in
each ch along cast on edge to next corner, 3sc in corner, working up second side of scarf, work 1sc in each of next 16 row ends to corner, 1sc in corner, sl st to first sc. Turn.
Next Row - ch1, 2sc in base of ch1, 1sc in each sc around all four sides of scarf, work
3sc in each corner and sl st to first sc on beginning of row. Fasten off.
Finishing - Sew in and tie off loose ends of yarn, attach a teddy bear face to each end
of scarf (see link above).
Tassels (optional) - For each tassel cut 1 length of main color yarn and 1 length of each
of the two contrast colours used on bears face, approx 4” long, (or required length), fold
in half, thread open ends through dc, pull through loop you have created and secure. Edge both ends of scarf with the tassels, trim to make even.
