Base of ch. Work into first stitch
Finished size approx:-
100 grams of Double Knitting Yarn in Main Colour
Small amounts of Double Knitting Yarn
in Contrast Colours for tassels
6.00mm & 5.00mm crochet hooks
With 6.00mm hook make 164ch loosely, change to 5.00mm hook, 1dc into 2nd ch from hook, * miss 1ch, 2dc into next ch, * rpt from * to * to last 2ch, miss 1ch, 1dc into last ch. Turn. (162dc)
Pattern Row -
* to * to last dc, 1dc into last dc. Turn.
Rpt last row 16 more times making 18 rows in all. Turn.
working down first side of scarf, work 1dc into each of next 16 row ends to corner, 3dc
into corner, 1dc into each ch along cast on edge to next corner, 3dc into corner, working
up second side of scarf, work 1dc into each of next 16 row ends to corner, 1dc into
corner, ss to first dc. Turn.
Next Row -
work 3dc into each corner and ss to first dc on beginning of row. Fasten off.
Tassels (optional) -
of the two contrast colours used on bears face, approx 4” long, (or required length), fold
in half, thread open ends through dc, pull through loop you have created and secure. Edge both ends of scarf with the tassels, trim to make even.
