330 grams of King Cole big value baby DK in cream (046)

11.70oz of Worsted Weight #3 Yarn

6.00mm, 5.00mm & 4.00mm crochet hooks

GAUGE - 4sc and 5 rows of sc measures approx 1 Inch using 5.00mm hook

With 6.00mm hook ch103, change to 5.00mm, 1sc in 2nd ch from hook, 1sc in each ch to end. Turn. (102sc)

Next Row - ch1, 1sc in base of ch1, 1sc in each sc to end. Turn.

Rpt last row until 102 rows have been worked in all from beginning. Turn.

Change to 4.00mm hook.

sc Border - Work ch1, 2sc in base of ch1, 1sc in each of next 100sc, 3sc in last sc, work 1sc in each of next 100 row ends down first side of blanket, 3sc in corner, work 1sc in each of next 100ch along cast on edge, 3sc in last ch, work 1sc in each of next 100 row ends up second side of blanket, 1sc in base of ch1, sl st to first sc on beginning of row. Turn.

Starting with ch1, 2sc in base of ch1 and slip stitching to first sc on the end of each row,

work 4 more rows in sc. Turn. (you should have 108sc between each corner)

Shell Border - (Worked in rows without turning) (RS) 5ch, (2dc, ch2, 2dc, ch2, 1dc) in base of 5ch, * skip 3sc, 1 shell in next ch, (see abbrev), * rpt from * to * 26 more times, skip 2sc, work (1dc, ch2, 2dc, ch2, 2dc, ch2, 1dc) in next sc, rpt from * to * 27 more times, skip 2dc work (1dc, ch2, 2dc, ch2, 2dc, ch2, 1dc) in next sc, rpt from * to * 27 more times, skip 2dc work (1dc, ch2, 2dc, ch2, 2dc, ch2, 1dc) in next sc, rpt from * to * 27 more times, sl st to

3rd of 5ch.

Row 2 - sl st in first ch2 sp, ch3, (1dc, ch2, 2dc) in same space, 1 shell in each ch2 space

to end, sl st to top of ch3 on beginning of row.

Row 3 - sl st to first ch2 space, ch3, (1dc, ch2, 2dc) in same space, * work (1dc, ch2, 2dc, ch2, 2dc, ch2, 1dc) in next ch2 space, (corner) 1 shell in ch2 space of next 29 shells,

* rpt from * to * to 4th corner work (1dc, ch2, 2dc, ch2, 2dc, ch2, 1dc) in corner ch2 space,

Row 4 - Rpt Row 2. Fasten off.
