Small amounts of Stylecraft Special DK Yarn in Colours 1, 2 & 3
4.00mm crochet hook

TENSION - 1 pattern rpt and 2 rows measures approx 1 Inch

Row 1 - With colour 1 make 20ch, (RS) 1dc into second ch from hook, * miss 2ch, 5tr into next ch, miss 2ch, 1dc into next ch, * rpt from * to * to end. Fasten off. Turn. (3 shells)

Row 2 - Join in colour 2, make 3ch, 2tr into base of 3ch, miss 2tr, 1dc into next tr, miss 2tr, 5tr into next dc, rpt from * to * to last dc, 3tr into dc. Fasten off. Turn.

Row 3 - Join in colour 1 make 1ch, 1dc into base of 1ch, * miss 2tr, 5tr into next dc, miss 2tr, 1dc into next tr, * rpt from * to * to end, working last dc into top of 3ch. Fasten off. Turn.

Row 4 - Join in colour 3, make 3ch, 2tr into base of 3ch, miss 2tr, 1dc into next tr, miss 2tr, 5tr into next dc, rpt from * to * to last dc, 3tr into dc. Fasten off. Turn.

Row 5 - Join in colour 1 make 1ch, 1dc into base of 1ch, * miss 2tr, 5tr into next ch, miss 2tr, 1dc into next ch, * rpt from * to * to end, working last dc onto top of 3ch. Fasten off. Turn.

Rpt Rows 2 to 5 once. Turn.

Edging - 1ch, 1htr into base of 1ch, * 1dc into each of next 5tr, 1htr into next dc, * rpt from * to * to end. DNT.

Working down the first side of the coaster, make 1ch, work 1dc into base of 1ch, 13dc evenly into row ends to corner, 3dc into corner, 1dc into each ch along cast on edge, 3dc into corner, 13dc evenly into row ends up second side of coaster, 1dc into corner, ss to next htr. Turn.

Starting with 1ch 1dc into base of 1ch, work 1 row of 1dc into each dc around all four sides of coaster, working 3dc into corners and ss to first dc on beginning of row. Turn.

Patterned Edge - 1ch, (1dc, 2tr, 1dc) into base of 1ch, * miss 2dc, (1dc, 2tr, 1dc) into next dc, * rpt from * to * last 2dc, miss 2dc, ss to first dc on beginning of row. Fasten off.

Finishing - Weave in any loose ends of yarn. Make as many as you need.
