Materials
25 grams of Stylecraft Special DK in Colour 1
70 grams of Stylecraft Special DK Yarn in Colour 2
25 grams of Stylecraft Special DK Yarn in Colour 3
4.00mm crochet hook
button
TENSION - 4tr & 2.5 rows measures approx 1 inch

Start with Yoke Worked in one piece starting with yoke -
Using colour 1, make 57ch, (RS) 1tr into 4th ch from hook, 1tr in each ch to end.
Turn. (54tr + 3ch)
2nd Row - (Inc) 3ch, 1tr into each of next 2tr, * 2tr into next tr, 1tr into each
of the next 3tr, * rpt from * to * to end, working last tr into top of 3ch. Fasten
off. Turn. (67tr + 3ch)
3rd Row - Join in colour 2, make 3ch, 1tr in each tr to end, 1tr into top of 3ch.
Turn.
4th Row - (Inc) 3ch, 1tr into next tr, * 2tr into next tr, 1tr into each of the next
2tr, * rpt from * to * to last 2tr and 3ch, 2tr into next tr, 1tr into last tr and
top of 3ch. Fasten off. Turn. (89tr + 3ch)
5th Row - Join in colour 3 and work as 3rd row.
6th Row - (Inc) 3ch, 1tr into next tr, * 2tr into next tr, 1tr into each of the next
2tr, * rpt from * to * to 3ch, 1tr and top of 3ch. Fasten off. (118tr + 3ch)
7th Row - Join in colour 1 and work as 3rd Row.
8th Row - (Inc) as 4th row. Fasten off. (157tr + 3ch)
9th Row - Join in colour 2 and work as 3rd Row.
10th Row - (Divide for Armholes) - Make 1ch, 1dc into base of 1ch, 1dc into each
of next 25tr, miss 25tr, (first armhole) 1dc into each of next 56tr, miss 25tr, (second
armhole) 1dc into each of next 25tr, 1dc into top of 3ch, ss to first dc on beginning
of row to make a round. (108dc)
Commence Skirt - 3ch, (1tr, 1ch, 2tr) into base of 3ch, * miss 3dc, (2tr, 1ch, 2tr)
into next dc, * rpt from * to * to last 3dc, miss 3dc, ss to top of 3ch on beginning
of row. Turn. (27 Shells)
Next Row - 1ch, 1dc into space below 1ch, * make 2ch, miss 2tr, work (1dc, 3ch, 1dc)
into next 1ch space of shell, make 2ch, miss 2tr, work 1dc into space before next
2tr, * rpt from * to * to last shell, make 2ch, miss 2tr, work (1dc, 3ch, 1dc) into
next 1ch space of shell, make 2ch, miss 1tr and 3ch, ss to first dc on beginning
of row. Turn.
Pattern Row 1 - ss over 2ch space and into first 3ch space, make 3ch, (1tr, 1ch,
2tr) into same space, work (2tr, 1ch, 2tr) into each 3ch space to end, ss to top
of 3ch on beginning of row. Turn.
Pattern Row 2 - 1ch, 1dc into space below 1ch, * make 2ch, miss 2tr, work (1dc, 3ch,
1dc) into next 1ch space of shell, make 2ch, miss 2tr, work 1dc into space before
next 2tr, * rpt from * to * to last shell, make 2ch, miss 2tr, work (1dc, 3ch, 1dc)
into next 1ch space of shell, make 2ch, miss 1tr and 3ch, ss to first dc on beginning
of row. Turn.
Rpt Pattern Rows 1 & 2 four more times. Fasten off. Turn.
Rpt Pattern Rows 1 & 2 once in colour 3, once in colour 2, once in colour 1, once
in colour 2. Fasten off.
Edging (and button loop) - With RS facing rejoin colour 3 to base of right hand
side on back edge, make 1ch, 1dc into base of 1ch, work 17 more dc evenly into row
ends to neck edge, 3dc into corner, 1dc into each ch around neck, 3dc into corner,
18dc evenly into row ends down second back edge. Turn.
Next Row - 1ch, 1dc into base of 1ch, 1dc into each dc to corner, 3dc into corner,
1dc into each dc around neck edge to next corner, 1dc into corner, make 8ch, (button
loop) work 1dc into corner, 1dc into each dc down second back edge. Fasten off.
Finishing - Weave in all loose ends, attach button to opposite side to correspond
with button loop. Decorate with ribbon and bows if you wish.
